Dr. Sung Un Gang is a research associate on the DFG-funded project “Cultural Memory in Crisis” at the TH Köln – University of Applied Sciences. From postcolonial and intersectional perspectives, he researches how cultural production, social relations, and urban spaces shape one another. He pursues these topics beyond academia as well: in his podcast “Bin ich süßsauer?” (“Am I sweet and sour?”), he interviews queer Asian people in Germany. His guest contributions have appeared on zdf.de and goethe.de; he is also heard as an expert on Deutschlandfunk Kultur and WDR.
